Has come out first bagpipe tutor in Latvian

This is first bagpipe play tutor in Latvian, which’s necessity is assured by bagpipe increasing popularity among latvian folk and other musicans. Book’s author is Kaspars Bārbals. He has recorded training exercises, too. Kaspars Bārbals has been playing bagpipes many years. He paticipates in popular Latvian bands like „Auļi” and „Skyforger”, he has also been bagpipe teacher in children and youth folk music camps.

In this book there is a short review about bagpipe playing in Northeurope. There is also information about Latvian bagpipe masters, so that you can order a bagpipe for yourself there. Book gives lessons how to tune bagpipes. It contains bagpipe playing exercises with notes and explanation. Exercises are with increasing difficulty - you can hear exercises in CD which is attached to bagpipe tutor. In the end, there are notes of 12 latvian folk songs and dances melodies. CD starts with Alšvangas bagpipe melody which is played by band „Auļi”.
